It’s just 5 weeks since our public meeting at Montgomery’s brought together enough like-minds to get a Transition Town group up and running here in Honiton. The steering group (Geoff, Chris, Charlotte, Colin, Rufus, Tina, Sharon, Michelle and Alison) are very pleased to announce the first little project – a fruity free-for-all.

Had fun at the Blackdown Hills Transition Group Apple Day yesterday. Cakes, lovely open fire, chatting, homemade soup, tea, spelt bread, spicy hot apple drinks, plants, free seeds, kids playing, crafty stuff, and lots of apples!

The Honiton Mackarness Hall is hosting a community market from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 5th November 2011. Entry is free as is fairtrade tea & coffee on the day! There will be some yummy cakes available to have with your cuppa and after refreshments you can browse the collection of stalls.
