We can feed the world if we reduce meat consumption and use the land currently wasted on grazing to grow crops for direct human consumption. Not to mention the huge amounts of water wasted by intensive farming. And the health benefits speak for themselves. There IS another way if we can only get the message across. We are holding a meeting about food in our town next week. Its urgent to fight proactively on this. Educate your councillors! They are in-human and unnatural devoid of all respect from the animals, and chickens which will feed us. As an alternative surely the need is to control consumption. Healthy eating does not require glutony, obesity, exploitation of animals and the environment. There must be another way; a way with respect and satisfaction and a more natural way to eat and treat animals and the soil and each other.
