Will put my thinking cap on. Could all recipes please make it clear how many it's for, I always find it annoying if it's not clear whether the quantities are for 4 or 10!

Preparation method:

1. Preheat the oven to 150 C. Grease a tin and line with baking paper.

2. Combine the water, mixed fruit, sugar and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally, then cook gently for about 10 minutes.

3. Sift the flour, baking soda and mixed spice into a large bowl. Pour in the boiled fruit mixture and stir until well blended.

4. Mix in the eggs. Pour into the greased loaf pan.

5. Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes, until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Cool cake in the pan for at least 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool.

It does taste lovely!

I don't think there are many 'original' recipes out there now Ben. As long as its something you've added your own twist to, to make it your own, I'm sure this would be fine. Or call on a green foodie friend, who is great at making up recipes and ask to use theirs???

Hi Sharon. Great idea. I'd like to submit a recipe, but was wondering if it has to be all mine, or can I adapt something from a book? Wasn't sure about copyright (don't suppose I'd get caught, though!).
